Gorgeous light and a giggly client is a perfect combination for a playful boudoir photography session, actually I am surprised that we were able to get any of the images with a “serious look” at all, because we were too consumed with tossing clouds of material up into the air and laughing. Miss M came into my Vancouver boudoir photography studio to celebrate her graduation and a special person in her life. I am sure he will be so happy with a stunning designer gift album featuring his adorable woman, that we are going to make for him. I love love love the pictures that we created together and was so happy when I saw this little cute white chemise that Miss M got for her session. I think shooting white on white is my most favourite, it definitely puts an accent on the subject and your eyes are drawn to the skin, hair, smile, expressions, rather than to the details of the garment or bold colours….
I have been always inspired by Douglas Kirkland’s 1961 portrayal of Marilyn Monroe in her infamous white sheets photo session and I think this session reminds me of just that: clean lines, personal, playful and very feminine.
